Best restaurant in the world Noma steps into the world of coffee

When you think of Noma, images of innovative Nordic cuisine, foraged ingredients, and Michelin stars come to mind. However, this culinary pioneer is now making a bold move into the world of coffee with the launch of Noma Kaffe, a subscription service that brings the restaurant's meticulously crafted coffee directly to your doorstep.

Noma's journey into the coffee realm began over a decade ago when they collaborated with World Barista Champion Tim Wendelboe to create a unique coffee experience for their diners which eventually led to the development of a brewing method tailored to Noma's menu. This method brew resulted in a unique taste profile that resembles red wine and red berries.

Following that, Noma has now taken the next step by roasting their own beans in Copenhagen, calling it Noma Kaffe. Similar to the restaurant, Noma Kaffe is all about delivering an experience. Each batch is sourced from small-scale, sustainable, and socially responsible coffee farmers in regions like Kenya and Central America. The beans are roasted in Copenhagen following a Nordic light roast philosophy, emphasizing bright acidity, floral notes, and delicate complexity.

Their beans is offered as a monthly subscription service. Each month, subscribers receive two different 250g bags of carefully sourced, hand-roasted coffee beans prepared by the Noma team in Copenhagen. Accompanying each delivery are brewing guides and insights into the coffee’s origin and the team’s research and trips, offering a new way to experience their dedication to craft and flavor beyond the restaurant setting.
